The color contrast between a strong direct red and a straight-forward black is my favourite and follows me through life, in design and fashion, inspired by living in China for two years.

I’m just moving to Berlin on Friday and it would be a wonderful start for my life in this vibrating city.

This morning I had the delight to cut into a beautifully plump and ripe fig, it was the first i’d seen like this all year. The beauty that awaited me once halved in the middle stirred something inside me. Warm colours of amaranth red sat in harmony with speckles of burnt umber and hues of dark purple sang to me. Blue clouds rolled over the sky of Berlin and I saw the first of leaves changing colour. In answer to your question it’s hard to separate my colours when a combination of the right ones at the right time can awaken the heart in certain ways. And as Henri Matisse once said:
”All the colors sing together; their strength is determined by the needs of the chorus. It’s like a musical chord.”

Maybe I need to stop delighting so densely on the inside of my soon to be breakfasts, relax see some beautiful art and drink a cocktail!

In general I like the ‘contrast’ of these black straight walls of the Nationalgalerie paired with the shapes and colors he creates most. The whole exhibition seems to be a contrast itself…what a brilliant art installation. The world needs more of that.
