At Work: Erika Weiss

erika weiss

This is my dear friend Erika in the front of Johann König Gallery, where she’s the director of sales. We met her for the Vogue People blog – in the interview text you can find out more about her love for the choice of strawberries at the markets in the Provence, beach volleyball and what she currently works on, reads, sees and listens to.

To all Berlin bakers: REAL brown sugar (the dark, sticky kind, imported from the U.K.) can be found fairly easily at many Asian supermarkets around Berlin. At the one by Alexanderplatz, corner of Dircksenstr. and Karl-Liebknecht-Str., for example.
Randomly enough, many Asian supermarkets (this one included) also sell packaged graham crackers — I guess they’re a popular snack in, like, the Philippines or something — but I’m sure they’re not nearly as good as this recipe!

I love the Wednesday Chef and I am so glad that she ended up in your ‘At Home’ series.

Oh, graham crackers. We North Americans are so silly calling a cookie a cracker – a sure classic though, nonetheless.
