I visited the head-quarter of the still young denim brand Cheap Monday, which needs no further introduction. I met their designers Karin Granstad, who does womenswear and accessories, as well as Carl Malmgren, who is responsible for the denim line (which includes over 150 washings – I didn’t even know it was possible to do more than, say, 20 washings!) in their offices in Södermalm. The history of the brand is unique, having started just some years ago (2004), and already having conquered the closets of young skinny jeans addicts worldwide (the next collection is going to include a wide-leg pants). I portrayed them in front of the denims of (only!) two seasons. You can think of them what you like, still their skinny jeans gave a distinction to a whole generation.
