Shop in Berlin: A.D.Deertz

This is Wibke Deertz’ store on Torstraße, where she sells her own line A.D.Deertz, which is not obeying to the rules of fashion seasons, but is produced continuously and stimulated by the needs of her clients and the availability of fabrics. Which means every piece is only available in a small number, depending on the amount of fabric Wibke bought on one of her numerous travels through the world. Just recently she brought a pile of huge patchwork bedcovers hand-made in Thailand, that are now available in her store, as well as a selection of pom pom belts made by the Thai Hmong hill-tribe. Also availabe are the shoes by Herbert Schier, a Namibian manufacturer established in 1938 producing desert boots crafted from wild kudu leather.

if only Torstrasse wasn´t so overloaded with traffice and most of the storefronts didn´t look so smeared with graffiti one might actually enjoy sitting outside or shop. But maybe run-down is the charm of the area.

Yea Tinka is right, Torstrasse is really not the best place for a relaxed shoppingtour. The hugh street in between makes it hard to change from one side to the other. I prefer more hidden places like Linien Str. or Auguststr. etc.

Why did Filmgalerie451 leave this building at Torstraße? Like the bakery or the restaurant and many lodgers before ? Because of gentrification. But that is not so interesting for Stil in Berlin, right? Only superficiality, no context. Grow up!

I don’t understand your critique. Are you criticizing there was no mention why they moved around the corner to Invalidenstraße?
