This is Wibke Deertz’ store on Torstraße, where she sells her own line A.D.Deertz, which is not obeying to the rules of fashion seasons, but is produced continuously and stimulated by the needs of her clients and the availability of fabrics. Which means every piece is only available in a small number, depending on the amount of fabric Wibke bought on one of her numerous travels through the world. Just recently she brought a pile of huge patchwork bedcovers hand-made in Thailand, that are now available in her store, as well as a selection of pom pom belts made by the Thai Hmong hill-tribe. Also availabe are the shoes by Herbert Schier, a Namibian manufacturer established in 1938 producing desert boots crafted from wild kudu leather.
