At the studio: Achtland

Achtland

Achtland is the label of Thomas Bentz (left) and Oliver Lühr, or rather the realization of a long-standing idea of building up a high-end, ready-to-wear label that is based in Berlin. They’ve been presenting their first season just six month ago and immediately were spotted by Vogue Deutsch’s editor in chief Christiane Arp, and invited to the noted Vogue Salon: a presentation of young designers during Berlin Fashion Week.

I visited them at their studio space in Kreuzberg last week, where I got a sneak peak of what’s to come this season and was yet again surprised by their exceptional creations, remarkable fabric choices and bold references. Achtland works on establishing a very grown-up yet experimental chic, which is not very common for a Berlin based label, and makes their future development even more interesting.

I always love seeing designers in their studios- their walls tell a style story with mood boards and mockups. + I’m really loving your blog and style!
