At Das Neue Schwarz two of Berlin’s smartest connoisseurs of vintage and second season clothing joined forces. Tanya started a few years ago by founding the online shop before moving into a backyard store at Mulackstraße, where David, owner of now closed Superstore, joined and they moved to the front building. Their small store certainly features the best choice of second season clothing in Berlin, many items are never worn, with a focus on brands like Helmut Lang, Margiela and Raf Simons and many many accessories, shoes and bags. Working together with many stylists and agencies, their selection of brands is always very good with the women’s section being very coveted, meaning the best items sell fast. The interior was made by artist Christophe Charon and Kyla Boyle, who hung a huge wooden rack from the ceiling in the center of the room, on top of which the shoes, glasses and accessories are presented.

Das Neue Schwarz is an upscale store, everything is clean and the store is designed perfectly. It certainly is one of the best independent stores we’ve got in Berlin.
