Shrugging off my coat and sitting down at a wooden table with a tray full of deliciously different fishiness, I took a sip of the crisp Riesling Michael Wickert had offered me. As I tried a bite of hot-smoked salmon with a chaser of onion confit, any hint of my mild hangover suddenly disapparated.

So here I am in Hawaii, this island so far away from Berlin it never made it on my go-to-list and nevertheless has thanks to innumerable pop-cultural references an image of paradise that is hard to ignore.
Even though e-readers are less and less of a rare sight on the U- and S-Bahn these days, actual, honest-to-goodness books are close to our heart here at Stil in Berlin. And the true value of visiting a bookseller becomes clear as soon as you walk into Dialogue‘s cozy Schönleinstrasse shop.
So what happens is that I’m in Hawaii for project for the launch of the new Volkswagen Beetle, chasing the sun together with five other people from around the world. We’re up doing different sun-related activities every day, like doing yoga during sunrise or hiking up a mountain to get a view on the sunset (follow me on instagram to see even more of that beauty). And even more weird stuff that will all be documented on the As Sun As Possible website soon, which you can find here.
