Imagine a shaded backyard, furnished with simple wooden tables and chairs, in which dishes full of dainty smelling risotto with chanterelles are served for your enjoyment during lunch break. Imagine the risotto dish was preceded by a beautiful cold soup made of tomatoes and followed by a delicious mascarpone cream with seasonal berries. Imagine you’d only pay 13 Euros for this stunning lunch menu.

The heat hit Berlin a couple of days ago, and if you’re looking for a sweet treat with enough sugar and caffeine to get you through the rest of the hot day, try the Affogato, an espresso poured over one (or two) delicious scoops of vanilla ice cream, at Cuore di Vetro, Max-Beer-Straße 33 in Mitte. Their pistachio ice cream is also pretty good.
I never thought much about being a child again, but the more atrocities I am confronted with in the news lately, the more I wish I had a different view of the world and didn’t have to think about things like violence and police brutality, xenophobia, and discrimination against minorities. Instead, I wish I could pick flowers in a meadow, or build myself a secret getaway in the woods like the children in Just the Wind.
I am very happy to present another set of Joseph Wolfgang Ohlert’s photographies from Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin, this time from the presentation of Augustin Teboul. The label showed its newest pieces in a former supermarket building from the 60s. Their deep-black and heavily embroidered designs were decorated with elaborate head-jewelry and very white faces, easily creating, once again, one of the most impressing collections of this fashion week.
Take a look at all the amazing shots from backstage:
