This is basically what you wanted all the time, amirite? You guys voted for Asian inspired burgers over and over again, making it the most popular burger variety at our beloved Burgers & Hip Hop since we started. So it was about time to devote an entire edition to this rather special breed of burgers: we’re going all Asian at the next Burgers & Hip Hop at Prince Charles on June 4th! Join us for a night of nori stuffed patties and coriander wrapped buns and enjoy them all with our Burger Feast ticket!
Most of the things I learnt about foraging as a kid are buried somewhere in my brain, I just forgot where… When I went on a guided foraging tour last week, many memories came back. Jonathan Hamnett, our guide of Grunewald Foraging, never went foraging as a kid, but discovered the joy this brings him later in life – maybe that’s the reason he’s now eager to share his knowledge and actually enjoys to bring us lazy city-people out into the fields and woods surrounding Berlin and taste the many pleasures nature offers. You should join him! I did…
You remember that giant mountain of rhubarb pavlova served at the 10th birthday of stilinberlin? I couldn’t forget it, dreamed about it, even. So when I came back to enjoy one of the first evening services of The Store Kitchen, I was over the moon to meet this glorious dessert again.
It’s almost time, you guys! The big birthday Breakfast Market feast celebrating this very blog’s 10th birthday is happening this Sunday at Markthalle Neun! Unless you follow me on Snapchat (find me as stilinberlin, obvs), you don’t yet know that I visited three of my breakfast superstars and photographed (and tested) what they’ll be serving on Sunday – just to make your mouths water a little more in anticipation. And it’s insanely delicious – they’ve certainly put in some passion and creativity to make sure we’re having meaty, vegetarian and vegan options you can’t find anywhere else in Berlin at this time of day. So get your stomachs ready and start drooling now:
Torstraße 1, formerly only known as Soho House, and by now also home to the fabulous The Store and its Kitchen, got a new addition: a fancy Italian place going by the name of Cecconi’s. Originated in Venice, this Italian restaurant can be found in London, West Hollywood, Miami Beach, Istanbul and now also in Mitte. Serving dishes from Northern Italy in an Art-Deco inspired and quite luxe interior, it’s a prime spot for important business meetings, fancy dates and any time you want a decent pizza baked in the most gorgeous marble oven.
