Art in Berlin: Blain|Southern

I went to Blain|Southern for a photo assignment, and once again thought that this gallery might just be lucky enough to have the most beautiful gallery space in town. The Berlin branch of the London gallery is located at the former Tagesspiegel newspaper building, (same place Andreas Murkudis has his store) and they occupy the former printing hall, which means they’ve got a very wide and very high major room, with several smaller rooms attached. As I heard, it took them weeks to change the wall color from printing ink to brilliant white and it was very worth it.

Blain|Southern represents artists like Tim Noble and Sue Webster, Lucian Freud, Bill Viola and Wim Wenders, on show right now is Lawrence Weiner’s CONCENTRICITY PER SE.
