Food in Berlin: Sababa

It’s not like I have any idea about Israeli food, so I was even more interested in Sababa, a fairly new Israeli restaurant/imbiss on Kastanienallee. Their offer is centered around Hummus, which you can get in several variations, topped with chickpeas, eggs or meat. Or in combination with the above pictured Schakschuka, a thick sauce with pepper, tomato and poached eggs, served with olives, pickles and pita bread.
The food is good and heart-warming, though certainly not plenty. If only they’d have a self-made pita bread, the small vendor would be my new favourite Hummus-lunch place.

Fairly certain that Zula on Husemannstraße bakes their own Pita bread. The Israeli / Yemenite dishes are pretty great there as well.
