Food in Palm Springs: Norma’s

The Parker is one of the most famous hotels in Palm Springs and its got a beautiful restaurant for brunch and lunch – Norma’s. We sat outside on their patio, surrounded by their vast gardens, on white Bertoia chairs with colorful cushions in a 70s inspired interior with every accessory in another color. I think it’s the most beautifully designed restaurant I encountered during my Californian travels.
At one point of just this travels I had to have pancakes, right? I chose to make this happen, but then missed out on ordering their award-winning potato pancake, because I thought they’d be a little too much winter flavor for 30 degrees and instead went for the country style buttermilk pancakes. Considering that pancakes aren’t the most appropriate choice for dry heat anyway, I’m regretting that a little now. My pancake was fine, but a little dry and of course, very heavy. The salad was great though, it had an excellent wasabi dressing and avocados full of flavor.
