Oh I’m sure you know about Schwarzhogerzeil already, not only because you are a devoted reader of this blog and read about the beautiful store and its equally beautiful owner, Nicole Hogerzeil. But first and foremost because it’s been on Berlin’s fashion scene for quite some time and has built a strong reputation for its selection of international brands.
Some months ago, an all new branch opened its doors just some meters from the main store on Mulackstraße, to expand Schwarzhogerzeil’s portfolio. Offering more casual brands, the elegant and bright store is already a favorite amongst Mitte fashionistas (as myself, yes). When visiting it a couple days back, I was instantly smitten by the cute designs of the French brand Le Mont Saint Michel, a fashion house that was founded in 1913 as a work-wear brand and slowly works its way back into the fashion consciousness of today. (In case a fresh apricot suits you, they’ve got this unbelievably sweet sweater with the classic and cool logo of the brand that is just so very summer 2013. Yes, I totally just wrote that.)
But that’s not the only French brand you can discovered here, Schwarzhogerzeil II also features Ba&Sh, Laurence Doligé, Athé and a selection of Medecine Douce jewelry. It’s great fun going through this very well curated choice, spotting new favorites and pieces that will be long-time lovers. I would go that far and call it a must-visit on your Berlin shopping sprees.
