Shop in Berlin: Vintage Galore

Recently, several very well sorted interior shops have been popping up in Berlin, maybe as a reflection of the city’s thriving young interior designer’s scene. Besides stores featuring young and new design, there’s a handful of vintage object stores that are very much worth visiting. Like Vintage Galore in Neukölln.

Just next to the lovely Café Valentin on the pretty Sanderstraße, the small store sells a selection of vintage furniture, everyday objects and a big variety of lamps. They focus on pieces from the 60s, made of teak wood and most likely designed in Scandinavia. The owner Erik Zimmermann makes regular shopping trips to the North and from what I know, he just recently returned from one big haul and just reopened the store again – which means loads of new gems fill the store! Unless they still need to be renovated, all pieces sold here are in excellent condition.

Also to be found is a small selection of vintage clothing, bags and shoes, as well as accessories. While their strength is certainly in lamps, you shouldn’t miss keeping an eye on these smaller goods.

thanks for this post! you mentioned there are many others- is it possible to get some of the names from you? i’ve found interior shopping, in particular furniture shopping, in berlin quite difficult.

Jackson at Lindenstrasse is great, if you can afford it. Scandinavian modern.
