Links in Berlin: All content

Berlin as seen by instagram user @bye_boring

This week has been busy for me, planning a major thing I will tell you about next week… (maybe). This is why I asked instagram for help, looking for a perfect-Berlin-moment captured in a square and made even better with a filter. Over 400 images tagged with #linksinberlin were submitted and I had a hard time deciding… But there are many weeks coming where we can feature those and thus I decided to start with a classic: early summer bliss by the canal, pictured by instagram user @bye_boring.
And even more things to see, read and follow:

The German photographer Michael Schmidt died two weeks ago, Jörg Koch of 032c remembers his work, that portrayed Berlin’s dichotomies, its brutal and unsentimental, yet romantic feel in the 1980s and beyond.

Seems like there’s a real craze going on about finding Berlin’s best burger – a new contender on the battle field is Tommi’s Burger on Invalidenstraße. James of überlin is already a big fan.

No other street in Berlin is lined with as many beautiful old signs as Karl-Marx-Allee, and Slow Travel Berlin’s Leslie Kuo decoded some of them.

There’s a new beer garden in town, and its founders promise food-and-beer-big-time-fun: “Protzen und Sohn” says they are all about real beer, real bbq and a real garden on the beautiful Stralau peninsula. Opening: tomorrow.
