If you’ve never heard of MDC Cosmetic, the stunning store of Melanie dal Canton before, you better hurry and read this. And then be excited about her collaboration with Munich based designer Saskia Diez, who created a pocket mirror so delightful it can be worn as a piece of jewelry. Getting all the things you need to prepare the antioxidant-rich, traditional and (first and foremost) delicious Japanese powdered tea is something most people wouldn’t gift themselves, but if received are happier than ever. A bottle of Berlin vodka by our/berlin
Many people are very happy to receive boozy presents, and in case the one’s on your list are also interested in local distilling, this one will make the cut: our/berlin vodka is made on the border of Kreuzberg and Treptow, just by the river Spree across from an old watch-tower. The Barn Brew Box
Berlin has made a name for itself in the coffee-drinking-community thanks to the dedication of Berlin based roasters and The Barn played a big roll in building this fame with its two beautiful and very committed coffee shops in Mitte. For Christmas they’re bringing you The Barn Brew Box filled with a Porlex Hand Grinder (ceramic burrs), the V60 Ceramic Drip, a set of matching filter paper, a BARN Mug and – of course – a bag of filter coffee roasted on their premises in Mitte. Sigurd Larsen’s concrete letters at Voo
Berlin based architect Sigurd Larsen created these letters together with Danish typography design house Playtype, The letters are hand-made, cast in concrete using a unique wooden formwork for each letter. Available for 39,- at Voo, Oranienstraße 24.
