Art in Berlin: Gonzalez Haase at Jacksons

You know about Gonzalez Haase’s work although you might have never heard their name before – but you’ve been in their interiors, like the stunning Andreas Murkudis shop, the Artek x Vitra store at Bikini Berlin, the MDC cosmetic store in Prenzlauer Berg, the Deutsche Bank Kunsthalle, the C/O Berlin photography gallery… and so on and on.

For a new exhibition at Jacksons gallery on Lindenstraße’s Galeriehaus (also designed by Gonzalez Haase AAS in 2007), the two architects Pierre Jorge Gonzalez and Judith Haase opened Jacksons’ extensive collection of 20th-century design, assembling them in the form of a conceptual installation called, naturally, “Assembling”.
On view are pieces by iconic designers like Rudolfo Benetto, Stig Lindberg, Josef Frank, Charles and Ray Eames, but also objects by theater makers like Robert Wilson’s chair for Heiner Müller’s play “Hamletmaschine”.
The exhibition is open until April 18th.

Please take down that “Best of Berlin Map Out Now” thingy that keeps moving into view as I surf your site. I feel like its chasing me and its tacky. This is a bad call on an otherwise tasteful site.

Ima, thanks for your feedback, it’s a temporary ad for my own print map, it will come down eventually, but you’ll be distracted by it for a little while longer
