Last Saturday began all grey and rainy, but of course we knew we can count on our burger lovers to not let us down for a cheesy feast for Burgers & Hip Hop at Prince Charles! Obviously, when it’s time for the biggest burger party in town, there’s also the duty to crown the city’s best burger! Celebrating everything cheese, we couldn’t wait to see who’d make the best cheeseburger in Berlin – and we proudly present you the final results right here:

Only open since last summer, Du Bonheur has already become our place to go for a sweet treat. The counter is always filled with homemade French pastries like almond croissants and Cannelés – no wonder that Du Bonheur’s Kitchen Tunes playlist is as well selected: Classics by Louis Armstrong and Cat Stevens are combined with French tunes by Camille and Zaz which gives it that special touch Du Bonheur is known for.
We don’t know about you, but it’s about time to fix our burger cravings yet again – Burgers & Hip Hop is back! This Saturday, it’s all about a classic: the phenomenal cheese burger. We’ll pose the very important question of who’s making the best cheese burger in the city? To get you in the right mood, not only will there be the finest of Hip Hop, but (for the first time) we’ve added a cheesy R’n B floor that will melt your hearts. Find all details here:
If any place could be described as a hidden gem, it’s Roamers. Walk around the corner at the very end of Pannierstraße in Neukölln and there it is: a wonderfully cosy looking café. The place is not only filled with things looking like they’ve been taken out of a Kinfolk magazine, but loads of people and there’s barely a free seat when I met Flore, the owner. Only open since January, what is it that made Roamers an instant neighborhood favorite and instagram darling? I went to Roamers for some shaksukah on a particularly grey day to enjoy this dish with eggs poached in spicy tomato sauce. It was spicy and creamy enough to comfort me as much that I was able to ignore the rain drizzling down on me. Then Flore served us some coffee and lemon cheesecake, one of the favorites from the menu. The fruity layer added the final touch to the creamy texture and I couldn’t wait to find out more about this place…
This week already marks more than 10 editions of Kitchen Tunes on this very blog and we couldn’t have thought of a more fitting feature than Pauly Saal: It’s the perfect place in Mitte if you have something to celebrate, or just want to treat yourself to something special! We already once had a look into the kitchen and with today’s playlist, we get to know even more about the behind-the-scenes of running a fine dining restaurant. Get ready to be surprised!
