I’ve spent some time searching for a list of places for you guys to spend this New Year’s in Berlin. Variety is key, so Mary and I made sure to include something glamorous and lavish, relaxed and romantic, casual and delicious, and as much as we could in between.

Drum Roll please! First, I want to give a shout out to everyone who showed up to help us and the team of Burgers & Hip Hop celebrate the third birthday. The day was cold, but inside Prince Charles we hung out and dined on our picnic tables like it was summer. Huge thanks to the Tatas’ Muffle stand (recall: mix between muffin and waffle) who made the whole room smell sweet and buttery. The white Glühwein too, with a slice of apple and orange (optional: extra shot of bourbon but #youdoyou), kept our hands warm as we waited in line for this year’s burgers. Speaking of which, BURGERS…
Bring on the balloons, the cake, and lots of confetti. It’s our favorite event’s third year birthday and we’re celebrating with the grilled, the crunchy and some good ol’ booty shaking. When? Where? Breathe burger fiends! Burgers and Hip Hop is back on the 3rd of December at Prince Charles to warm our cold bellies. Gathering our beloved crew and seven burger artists from all around town, we’re hoping to soothe your winter blues with the comfiest comfort food there is, burgers.
Yet again you guys have proved to be the best of fans. Not the mist, the cold, not even the dreary gray clouds kept you from us at Burgers & Hiphop at Prince Charles this Saturday. At least the smell of bacon cut through iffy weather, am I right? The salt, the maple, the ever so slightly charred aroma kept even the lightest of eaters coming back for seconds (or thirds). Big thanks to our incredible vendors this round. They all toughened it out and came up with patties layered with condiments to i-m-p-r-e-s-s: machego crisps, wurst, homemade bbq, sautéed vegetables (separate burgers). Not surprisingly, competition this year was tough and well fought out. The night closed with a well fed crowd dancing to the tunes of Beyoncé and Biggie Smalls: the mist, it turns out, is great for cooling off.
