After an astonishingly bland dinner at Ming Dynastie last week, I gave up on the idea to get good Chinese food in the East of this city and went back to where Berlin’s Asian heart resides: the West. And I found what is now my favorite place for Chinese, especially Sichuan food: Tian Fu.
Many of the eateries I recommend on this website are my personal favorites where I repeatedly spend my lunch breaks and dinner times. I mean, this is kind of self-evident, but it isn’t necessarily reflected in the content of this blog, since a review’s usually a one-time-thing. This is why I decided to revive some recommendations with a photographed revisit. This time it’s Kantine Neun, the more than wonderful lunch institution in Berlin’s culinary mecca Markthalle IX.
If you’d ask me, when it comes to vegan food, Berlin still has a lot to do. Yes, there’s the wonderful Veganz with its two stores, and there’s the delicious Goodie’s delis (who just opened their fifth joint in Schlachtensee, but is not thinking about Mitte or Kreuzberg…), and then there are the gazillion vegan burger or burrito places, but if you’re not at all going for this fast vegan food, it can be difficult.
But what am I talking about, there are possibilities, and one very fine for a delicious 100% vegan dinner is Lucky Leek.
Ah, finally it’s that time of the year again. Infamous Bixels is opening its doors for one week of baked potato bliss!
When asking for recommendations for London on Facebook, I received so many tips, I was about to cross off one of my pre-made list because I thought I wouldn’t need it considering so many cool new options: Ottolenghi.
