Another week, another Kumpir. After my discovery of this Turkish baked potato last week, I was happy to try a new vendor this week and my ways led me into this small roasting specialist on Kottbusser Damm (another branch in Wedding, see below).
I just assume that most of you know the restaurant “Katz Orange” already, since it received so much praise for its kitchen being regional, seasonal and creative since its opening last January.
Update: Tandur Lasan is now called Dilan, but bakes the same delicious bread.
Located in not much more than a hole-in-the-wall, not bigger than 10 square meters at most, the space is big enough for two bakers constantly kneading, throwing and rolling breads to bake them to perfection in their Tandoori ovens.
This post is not so much about La Femme, a restaurant on Kottbusser Damm, but more about a certain dish.
My friend Yoske has told me many times to go to Daruma in Wilmersdorf for their Katsudon, and last week I finally made it.
