As you might have noticed, I’m an eager follower of the work of Berlin-based designers, and I want them to be successful – so the idea to assemble a guide on how to shop Berlin-based designers in the city is not too far off our way. Let’s be honest: one of the most important things for a fashion brand is to sell their designs — so go out and shop NOW:
Niche Berlin organizes tailor-made private art and architecture tours, bringing you to the most inspiring project spaces, galleries and museums in town. And not only are they in the know on the up-and-coming scene, but would never miss the 8th edition of Gallery Weekend hosted by the most notorious or notable galleries in the city and considered one of the hottest art events in Germany – or at least in Berlin. Of course you can spend your weekend squeezing in with hordes of people at the major galleries – we’ll be there, too. But there are many other fun things happening this week that ought not to be missed – take a look which exhibitions we’re most curious about…
Club Monaco has arrived in Berlin at Galeries Lafayette. We used the opportunity to welcome the Canadian brand with a guide through our city and presented them our favorite spots for a day in Berlin – the lovely couple Laura and Stephane strolled through the city dressed in the latest Club Monaco collection, enjoying delicious food and drinks, shops and sights. We hope you enjoy our selection of locations! If you like the clothes, you might also be interested in the opening party at Galeries Lafayette on Thursday, April 19th from 6pm to 8pm. Dario will be present to take your picture for you to take home that night as well.
For now, here is our short guide to five beautiful locations to spend a day in Berlin:
This is not a real guide, it’s more a comprehension of the food I encountered during my trip to Copenhagen Fashion Week last week. I had a lot of very good food, although I was pretty surprised to find vegetarian options to be offered rather scarcely (the vegetarian option at a press dinner was salad. As in: green salad). Still, the food I had was always fresh, original and tasty (and expensive, oh boy). So here are my recommendations, which some of you might find helpful.
Oh holy summer, finally you’re here to prove our love for this city – we’ve never understood why some people would leave for holidays during those fabulous (but few) weeks of sunshine and heat, where Berlin looks and feels gorgeous and everything is just great! We hope this short guide will help you to make your summertime even nicer.
