Some say the best Berlin experiences take place at dawn: making it past the doormen at Berghain, successfully avoiding the Club Mate bottles on your way home through a park, even being awakened by the garbage trucks and knowing you can sleep another hour or two. Everything looks better just before the break of day. Everything, that is, except for absolutely EVERYTHING when we have a sunset like the one we did last night. Berlin was all a-gloaming in pastels, and it was glorious.

Forget about Robin Thicke, Justin Timberlake, Pharrell. Heck, forget Daft Punk. This summer should belong to the likes of Ciara, of Lorde, Kate Boy, and CHVRCHES. Yes, Miley too. Open those double windows, blast this off your balcony, take it to a lake, a park, Kotti. Have a great Berlin summer, y’all, we’ll be rooting for you.
I’m writing this while the sun is shining bright and merciless, frying your brain when you walk on the sunny side of the street, softening your heart when you lie in the park. Summer is without question the seasonal reason for hundreds, thousands to move to Berlin every year. Although, Berlin’s summer is always coming too late, staying too short, leaving too early. It’s desperately yearned for, thoroughly enjoyed and crushingly missed.
Anyway, right now it’s full on and to be revelled every day, every hour, every minute and here are some tips on how to do it right:
I’m lost for words, can you believe that summer came to Berlin, finally? Let’s enjoy it while it lasts.

I could spend my days solely by cycling through the city looking for blooming trees, bushes, flowers, taking their picture to create a huge collection of Berlin blooming tales.
