In case you’re familiar with my Instagram, you probably unfollowed me three weeks ago when I was posting too many stories and pictures of me and friends relaxing at a gorgeous spa, basically lavish exposure of extensive spa-ing in the middle of a random week. But let me tell you more about this wondrous place about 1,5 hours South of Berlin, tucked away in the picturesque biosphere reserve Spreewald. It’s a stunning spa hotel called Bleiche.
The sun’s out, temperatures are glorious and all we wanna do is get out of the city, hang below palm trees in an apple orchard and eat ice cream, right? I have the perfect place for you: Schloss Schwante, Clärchen’s Ballhaus’ Sommerfrische, a super pretty castle in the countryside about an hour north from Kreuzberg!
It’s that time of the year! All Berliners wanna flock out of the city and into Brandenburg, watch butterflies, swim in lakes, eat all the creamy cakes, and watch the sun set while lying on a green lawn. To make your list of escape destinations a little longer, I’m giving you three places you must see this summer. And to make your travel loads easier and more stylish, my cooperation partner CarUnity is giving you a pretty convertible for a weekend! We got three Opel Cascada waiting for you on the weekend of July 29th to 31st, choose your favorite escape destination and leave a comment under this article.
In cooperation with Opel
We parked our car just next to the restaurant and headed for a walk – we didn’t finish the whole tour surrounding the lake (appr. 8km ), since the dog was just too excited to go swimming and we stopped multiple times to enjoy the view on the lake. But nevertheless the forests were very enjoyable, offering innumerous detours and idyllic clearings to take a break. (And soon, go swimming ourselves!)
In case you follow my instagram account, you might have noticed the dreamy pictures of Brandenburg landscapes covered in light snow and the remarks about a Chinese cooking class. The explanation is this: I was invited to the most wonderful weekend edition of Somewhere #1, out in the country, that combined food and leisure in the best way possible.
