I’d love to start this one by moaning about the weather, but I can’t because one of the links in Berlin has done a way better job (read below). So I retreat to choosing a photograph of Mitte, depicting the beauty of a grim crossing: Jessica of Best Wishes Magazine took this one of Rosenthaler Platz (and tagged it #linksinberlin for all of us to see, thank you!). And I recommend you push play on Dena’s new hit – Summer doesn’t mean a thing. Because, really. And then read away:

With temperatures way above the 30s, the last week was spent outside or at one of the many lakes around Berlin as often as possible. Nevertheless, we found the time to collect the latest #linksinberlin, with – of course – many more ideas to spend these beautiful days in Berlin.
And we loved all your contributions to the #linksinberlin hashtag on instagram – lieber_honig’s pretty sunset over gritty tracks happened to depict our current Berlin-mood the best. Thanks for the picture and keep them coming!
This week has been busy for me, planning a major thing I will tell you about next week… (maybe). This is why I asked instagram for help, looking for a perfect-Berlin-moment captured in a square and made even better with a filter. Over 400 images tagged with #linksinberlin were submitted and I had a hard time deciding… But there are many weeks coming where we can feature those and thus I decided to start with a classic: early summer bliss by the canal, pictured by instagram user @bye_boring.
And even more things to see, read and follow:
Since starting this new series, every week it made me happy to find so many inspiring links all around the web which expressing the city’s spirit. With summer just around the corner, there are already more than 10 editions of Links in Berlin and we’re looking forward to many more. Feel free to share your own favorite reads about this beautiful city tagging them #linksinberlin on twitter or Facebook and I’ll be happy to include them in future editions. Until then enjoy our round-up of the best of Berlin’s blogs (and some news):
Summer hit Berlin, pushing us citizens with temperatures that can only be called “too hot” – where is this weather-glory leading, you might ask. Will we have an endless summer? Weeks of sun and shine ahead?
At least, tomorrow there’ll be rain and slightly cooler temperatures. A good day to read all the links we’re suggesting in this very post. Because Sunday it’s great weather again (!), so we’ll head to the parks and lakes (after we fulfilled our citizen-duty and voted, of course).
