Veggie Burger in Berlin: Ban Ban Kitchen

There are certain moments in one’s life, where all you want is a delicious Korean burger, a portion of Kimchi fries and an ice-cold ginger beer. You know what I’m talking about, right? Lucky us, there’s a source not too far away: the very well known diner Ban Ban Kitchen on Hermannstraße is serving exactly that. (And thanks to that, now also part of our beloved veggie and vegan burger guide.)
The place is not more than a tiny take-out with some wooden benches and shaky metal stools in front, however, it is charming and beloved, thus always having a line. We went for a soy-bulgogi-burger with cheese and a portion of generously kimchi-ed fries with even more goujoned soy and plenty sauce. Not to forget the intense ginger beer fresh from a can. Just making the perfect, fast-food Sunday dinner.

Vegan Burger in Berlin: Let it Be

You might have thought I stopped, but my quest for delicious vegetarian and vegan burgers in Berlin continues with one very fine example today: Let it Be in Neukölln. You certainly remember my praise for their heavily filled crepes last year and my promise to come back to taste their burgers, so here we go.

Dinner at The Bowl, Berlin

Clean Eating in Berlin: The Bowl

It’s somewhat of a mystery (to me, at least), that the “clean eating” trend took so long to establish in Berlin to actually get a full restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. However, it’s here now, and it’s pretty delicious and has a great name: The Bowl.

Lunch in Mitte: The Store Kitchen

This one placed on my list of ten new places you need to try, but has actually been on my to-eat-list much longer. Precisely since the first pictures of their complex salads made by the two chefs, Johnnie Collins and Tommy Tannock hit my instagram feed. Both equipped with rockstar-names, both from UK, both very dedicated foodies, and you already know at least one of them: Tommy is one of the founders of street foodie party Bite Club.
What they serve up in The Store Kitchen is what I want to eat for lunch literally any day, and it’s actually very close to how I like to cook myself. However, I rarely manage to do one of those plates, not even thinking of making more than one variety, and at The Store Kitchen you can choose out of a selection of seven! Creative salads, that is.

Guide: Veggie & Vegan Burgers in Berlin

Oh the veggie and vegan burgers, what a high art cuisine, tried by many, failed by most, and mastered only by a chosen few. While nearly every burger place in town also has a vegetarian and oftentimes even vegan burger on their menu, that doesn’t mean the choice of good ones would be plenty. Rather the opposite. There’s also no correlation of meat-grilling-talents and vegan artistry, a place serving a great beef-burger doesn’t necessarily (or possibly never?) also has the skills to do a good veggie one…
