Best of: The most read articles of 2012

2012 has been a great year for stilinberlin, at least in my perspective. There were dozens of food and shop recommendations, some guides and interviews with my favorit people of Berlin, there was a stilinberlin shop and there was (and still is) a lipstick with uslu airlines. There was quite some travel, some covered on the blog, some done for Vogue Germany, for whom I've been honored to photograph the whole year around. With over 200 published articles, I thought a quick look on what's been the most read might make sense. And the best thing is - I researched this year's recap in the all shiny and new layout, that will hopefully launch soon. Yes, you read it right, there will be a new layout after almost seven years on the same simple and now almost retro look. Until all changes have been made, you'll have to enjoy the top 10 list on the old blog, but I guarantee you that we're working hard on it…Guten Rutsch! And Happy New Year!-- 1, The Third Wave Coffee Guide --The most requested article of the year is all about those coffee enthusiasts and their endeavors in Berlin. First and foremost Ralf Rüller, my articles on his The Barn and his The Barn Roastery therefor come in fifth and sixth in the most read articles. If I had to predict a topic that'll follow coffee in its importance in 2013, I'd bet on bread.-- 2, The Summer Guide --There's nothing as beautiful as a Berlin summer day, who'd dispute that? No wonder the annual summer guide is loved so much. I am constantly thinking about a winter guide, but lacking in tips to conquer this icy beast. -- 3, The Thai Market --This Thai food market in a random Wilmersdorf park is such a wonderful Berlin oddity.-- 4, The How-to-shop-Berlin-designers-in-Berlin Guide --Supporting local young designers is an important concern for me and one of the most important things is to push their sales, so they can establish a well working business. That's why I did this guide and am very happy it made it onto the top list.-- 5, The Horst Meier Home Story --Horst Meier's clean and styled apartment turned out to be your favorit "At Home" of the year. Not surprising though. -- 6, The Arkona Platz flea market --Berlin has loads of flea markets, this is one of the best.-- 7, The Club Monaco - One Day in Berlin Guide --Following a handsome couple in pretty Club Monaco clothes through Berlin was obviously a great hit with you readers.-- 8, Malin Elmlid's Bread Exchange --As mentioned above, I'd bet on and hope for bread to be the top-food-topic of 2013 and this will also be thanks to this young Swedish woman baking her heart out.-- 9, The Delicious Ice-Cream in Berlin Guide -- Of course, who doesn't like ice-cream?!-- 10, The Prinzessinengarten --The urban gardening project at Moritzplatz has just recently be saved thanks to the engagement of locals - say yay to another digging and planting season in the urban wastelands!
